Thomas Tuchel Expresses Disappointment Over Home Crowd Support Despite Emphatic Wales Victory.

The England head coach voiced his regret that the England team did not receive more support from the Wembley crowd during their commanding triumph over Wales on Thursday night.

Tuchel was satisfied to see his squad continue their winning momentum, with finishes from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Saka inside the first 20 minutes settling the contest. However, he was displeased with the mood at the national stadium.

“We had limited sessions to get ready against a organized team and we did very well,” Tuchel commented. “It could have been five goals ahead at the break. We couldn’t score the fourth and fifth ones. There was little noise. We didn’t get any energy from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“What more can you provide in 20 minutes? We didn’t let them get away. When you only hear just the Welsh supporters for half an hour, it’s sad because the team deserved greater backing today.”

“I support this statement. We cannot do more than leading three goals up in a rivalry match. I would have wished for a greater backing in periods where it becomes tough.”

“After halftime, to get behind us, there was excessive support for Wales. It could have helped us to regain energy, but it is what it is and that is it.”

Squad Decisions Justified by Display

Away from risking a dispute among supporters, the manager also raised eyebrows by omitting Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden from his team selection. Yet the move was validated by Rogers excelling in the attacking midfield role and scoring his first international goal.

“He is what he is,” the head coach explained. “He operates as an attacking midfielder and he is vying for his spot.”

Bellamy Seeks Improvement from Loss

The Wales manager hopes that his team, who face a strong Belgian side in a important qualifying match on Monday, improve after their awful performance in the opening period.

“This is why I scheduled this friendly,” Bellamy commented. “I wanted to assess where we are. What are our ambitions? Who do we want to be? Today gives me motivation.”

Fitness Worry for Striker

Ollie Watkins was substituted at the break after hitting a post and will be a doubt when England play Latvia in Riga in a World Cup qualifying match on next week.
