🔗 Share this article Unveiling an Unique Steam Demo: Guiding a Piece of Feces with the Goal to Reach the Toilet Steam Next Fest is currently underway, and gamers have discovered plenty of entertaining indie games. But, one is particularly notable for its unconventional concept. Called Unko Technica, this old-school styled jumping adventure lets you play a protagonist that is truly a dung attempting to navigate to a commode. In case you're wondering, "Unko" is Japanese for "poop." Player controls is simple: you only need a jump control. Throughout numerous levels, you'll face mini-bosses and unlock a store to acquire skins for your poop character. Time your movements with caution, since one mistake means restarting the level. Jump using bubbles to hurl yourself upward, navigate fragile surfaces, and touch switches to open hidden paths. Collect currency for buying tougher levels as things ramps up. Visually, the experience boasts eye-catching environments and a killer background music. The retro graphics featuring morphing basic polygons evokes memories of players of old favorites like Earthbound. Even though difficult to name similar titles where you play as a coiled turd, gaming have long featured toilet humor. As an illustration, in Death Stranding, players craft explosives from character waste. Titles such as Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved use manure as fertilizer. And of course, this theme appears heavily in Obsidian's role-playing game The Stick of Truth. Putting aside its goofy premise, Unko Technica has already earned significant recognition, like being named best at a major publisher's indie contest in 2023. This trial version is available now on Steam, with the final release scheduled to debut on Steam this November.
